Our Story
Mr. van der Merwe originally started with 6 cottages he managed as guesthouses. As the business grew the original farm houses were transformed as well. Mrs. van der Merwe developed the vintage barn into a beautiful function venue. Once their children were all grown up they also joined the family business. Now we have the De.serve Country shop, Cr.eat.e Coffee shop, Sipstation Bar, Pizzeria, Decor Showroom , Art Gallery and our Conference room!
We aspire to offer our guests affordable accommodation appropriate for families. We take pride in our beautiful views, tranquil atmosphere and private country style aesthetics. The spacious farm is such an awesome breakaway from the city buzz, however close enough to pop by if needed. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen which includes a fridge, microwave, 2 plate stove with oven and the basic cooking utensils. All houses have an indoor- or outdoor braai available.
The venue has come such a long way from being a farm garage, art gallery and restaurant. We are delighted to share our vintage, rustic, country-style venue with you.
